In previous videos, I’ve talked about my plan to self-publish the novelization of the movie script for Promised Land: Fallout. Why? Well, in short, I want to (a) use the novel to help build audience and interest in the movie and (b) to use the novel as an incentive during the crowdfunding process. That’s the plan anyway, but before I can do that I need to learn how to self-publish the book in the first place.

In the past, I have self-published a collection of short stories and poems written by my students and the yearbook for the high school where I teach. So, I am familiar with the process, but I’ve never had to market and sell very many copies until now.

In this video, I talk about how I researched self-publishing companies, like Kindle Direct Publishing, and how I submitted my first non-content book to KDP. I hope you enjoy!
